On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, Master’s Programme in Biomedical Sciences FMUI, had the honor of welcoming a courtesy and benchmarking visit from the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Muslim Indonesia (FK UMI). This visit served as a platform for academic exchange, program development insights, and potential future collaboration.
The delegation from FK UMI was led by Dr. dr. Nasrudin AM, Sp.OG, Subsp.Obginsos, MARS, M.Sc., FISQua, AIFO-K, Dean of FK UMI, accompanied by Dr. dr. Ida Royani, M.Kes., MHPE (Vice Dean I), Dr. dr. Sri Wahyu, M.Kes., Dr. Adriani, S.Si., M.Kes., and Rezki Arianti, S.I.P., a staff member of the Dean’s Office.
The visit began with a warm welcome from PMIB FKUI, followed by a discussion session that focused on the strategies for managing master’s programs in biomedical sciences, curriculum development, academic governance, and quality assurance practices. PMIB FKUI shared its experience in program accreditation, student affairs, research integration, and collaboration with both national and international institutions.
A highlight of the visit was a tour of the IMERI (Indonesia Medical Education and Research Institute) FKUI laboratories, where the delegation observed the state-of-the-art research facilities utilized by faculty members and graduate students. The tour showcased IMERI’s commitment to supporting advanced biomedical research, fostering innovation, and encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration.
Both institutions expressed a shared interest in establishing academic partnerships, including collaborative research initiatives, faculty and student exchanges, and joint academic events. This visit not only strengthened inter-institutional ties but also paved the way for future cooperation in advancing biomedical education and research in Indonesia.
The benchmarking visit concluded with a token of appreciation and a group photo session, symbolizing the beginning of a mutually beneficial relationship between PMIB FKUI and FK UMI.
