VISION & MISSION

Driving Excellence in Biomedical Sciences Education

VISION

To become a globally competitive and excellent center of education for Master’s in Biomedical Sciences, through the development of cutting-edge biomedical knowledge, resulting in the production of outstanding graduates who contribute to the development of Indonesian society and the world.

MISSION

  1. To create highly intellectual and morally upright Master’s graduates in Biomedical Sciences who are globally competitive.
  2. To organize high-quality Tridharma activities that are relevant to national and global challenges through collaborations, particularly within the Academic Health System.
  3. To establish an academic environment that fosters wide and equitable access to quality education and teaching in Biomedical Sciences, in line with quality assurance principles.

MPBS FMUI VISION
To become an excellent and globally competitive center of education for Master’s in Biomedical Sciences, through the development of current biomedical knowledge, resulting in the production of the best graduates who contribute to the development of Indonesian and global societies.

MPBS FMUI MISSION

To create Master’s graduates in Biomedical Sciences who are highly intellectual, possess noble character, and are capable of global competitiveness.

To organize high-quality Tridharma activities that are relevant to national and global challenges through collaborations with various stakeholders, especially within the Academic Health System.

To create an academic environment that fosters wide and equitable access to quality education and teaching in Biomedical Sciences, in accordance with quality assurance principles.

MPBS FMUI GOALS/OBJECTIVES

1. To produce Master’s graduates in Biomedical Sciences who:

  • Are capable of critically evaluating knowledge in the field of biomedical sciences to design solutions for global health issues.
  • Are able to integrate biomedical knowledge in fields such as Anatomy/ Biochemistry/ Biology/ Pharmacology/ Physiology/ Histology/ Immunology/ Microbiology/ Oncology/ Parasitology/ Pathobiology/ Reproductive Medicine/ Transfusion Science/ Bioinformatics/ Stem Cells to design solutions for global health problems through interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches.
  • Are proficient in creatively composing research proposals for grant applications.
  • Are capable of managing research and development that benefit society and the field of knowledge, and receive national and international recognition.
  • Are able to apply good laboratory practices in research laboratory management and collaborate with other researchers.
  • Are effective communicators in both Indonesian and English, utilizing listening, speaking, and writing skills using information technology to publish research results, seminar presentations, and publications in reputable national and international journals.
  • Implement scientific integrity based on scholarly ethics.

2. Facilitating translational research by students in the field of biomedical sciences through ongoing research conducted by internationally renowned and interdisciplinary faculty members that is worthy of publication in national and international media, or results that can be patented.

3. Supporting and conducting community engagement activities involving students, faculty members, and relevant institutions that focus on global health issues by utilizing various specialized disciplines in the Master’s Programme in Biomedical Sciences at FMUI.

4. Strengthening our role as a leading provider of Master’s education in Biomedical Sciences in Indonesia through collaboration with the Indonesian Consortium of Biomedical Sciences (KIBI).

5. Facilitating collaboration, partnerships, and opportunities for continuous education enrichment with various national and international institutions, especially within the scope of the Academic Health System (AHS).

6. Creating a credible, transparent, accountable, responsible, and fair biomedical education institution.
