PMIB FKUI Explores Collaboration with NICM Health Research Institute, Western Sydney University
On February 3–4, 2025, Prof. Dr. Wawaimuli Arozal, M.Biomed., Ph.D., Head of Master’s Programme in Biomedical Sciences (MPBS FMUI), and Dr. Rani Wardani Hakim, S.Si., Apt., M.Biomed., Secretary Program, visited the NICM Health Research Institute, Western Sydney University, Australia, to explore academic and research collaboration opportunities.
The visit aimed to initiate potential cooperation in education, research, and student/lecturer exchange between PMIB FKUI and NICM WSU.
On the first day, the delegation visited the Westmead Campus in Parramatta, where they met with Prof. Rod McClure, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Dennis Chang, Director of NICM. Discussions were followed by a tour of NICM’s research facilities.
The second day continued at the Campbelltown Campus, where the PMIB FKUI team held a meeting with Prof. David A. Mahd, Research Manager of the Faculty of Medicine, and his team.
As a result of this visit, both parties agreed to formalize their collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which will be signed virtually in the near future.
